Accreditation pursuant to HEdA and MedPA: study programmes in human medicine, dentistry and pharmacy accredited

In its meeting of 7 June 2019, the Swiss Accreditation Council granted the accreditation to the study programme in pharmacy at ETH Zurich, study programmes in human medicine and in dentistry at the University of Geneva and study programme in pharmacy at the University of Basel.

The procedural reports, including the analysis and evaluation made by each panel of experts in the external assessments, and the AAQ accreditation recommendations, are published under https://aaq.ch/en/procedural-reports/

The Medical Profession Act requires the accreditation of study programmes in human medicine, dentistry, veterinary medicine, pharmacy and chiropractic in accordance with section 31 of the HEdA. The purpose of the accreditation procedure is the combination of bachelor's and master's programmes, which constitute a six-year study programme within the meaning of the MedPA and lead to a federal diploma.
