ESG review of the AAQ 2020-21: Self-assessment report published

As quality assurance agency operating in the European Higher Education Area, AAQ actually undergoes the procedure of ENQA membership renewal. As another outcome of this procedure, AAQ applied to keep its status as an EQAR-registered agency (European Quality Assurance Register). AAQ recently completed the self-assessment against the ESG quality standards. It can be downloaded here.

During the self-assessment process, AAQ conducted an on-line enquiry to give the opportunity to selected stakeholders to give free format feedback on strengths and/or improvements of the agency (see section 11). The self-assessment is an important part of the quality assurance of AAQ. It covers facts and analyses over the past years and considers a follow-up from the 2016 review throughout the report. A summary of the follow-up measures and considerations since the last review is given in section 12 of the report.

Next steps in this procedure are the on-site visit of the agency by the review panel mandated by ENQA, scheduled 17-19 November 2020, and the consideration of the evaluation report by the Board of ENQA, expected for April 2021. AAQ will keep you informed about the results of this procedure.
